Okay, so the story goes like this…  Ctrl+Alt+Del was the first comic forum that I frequented.  That comic’s creator is Tim Buckley, and Buckley’s forum account name was Absath.  The dude used to be (and could still be for all I know) incredibly narcissistic and self-obsessed, just judging by his forum posts.  For example, when he moved to a new town, he asked if anyone knew of a good stylist in the area, stressing “Not a barber… a stylist.”  No biggy, but when some kid on the forum said he had based an English class skit off of one of the Ctrl+Alt+Del comics, and would the forum members like to see the video….  Buckley actually threatened legal action.

Thus came Assbath.  The format of Assbath is very simple:  a man sees his reflection and can’t look away.  Every (almost) comic was like this.  The variation from strip to strip was where the reflection was seen.  It was pretty simple, and the longer the archive became, the more fun it was to read in sequence, at least I thought so.  It was stupid.  Maybe that’s why I liked it.  Not as stupid as Dealey Plaza, in which I used freeze frames of the Zapruder Film to set up jokes, the end of which always resulted in Kennedy’s face exploding.  Not quite that stupid.  But still pretty stupid.

A few years ago, Wiz Rollins and I hooked up on a project called “There’s Always Porn”.  It was a fun project and I can’t say enough about working with the guy.  Dude rocks.

I’m thinking of posting some old comics that can’t be found any more, in honor of this being the birth month of Hockey Zombie.  This marks the 5th year that this fuckin’ thing has been around.  5 goddamn years.  Wierd.

Anyways, maybe I’ll repost some of the old “There’s Always Porn” comics.  yeah… that sounds good.

Okay, I’ll confess… sometimes something pops into my head and it just has me laughing.  Such is this comic.  I don’t know if most of the readers here have even seen Little House on the Prairie.  The idea of mutant Laura bellowing for help with her burgina has had me giggling to myself at work for awhile.

Its true!  After being boned for the better part of 6 months, the site code is all fixed.  Superguy Jake deserved many kudos.  You are the man, Jake.

What this means for the reader:  while there will be shark strips in the future, proper site coding means I will have the justification in spending time on proper strips again.  That has me pretty jazzed.
